I had an opportunity for a few months to work with the team that was developing the mobile game Battle Breakers as their UI Artist. It was my duty to take a look at what they had already developed and come up with a new design that would better suit the look and feel of the art and gameplay.
Working closely with the Art Lead, I came up with multiple options but in the end, this design came out on top. The gameplay is all about breaking crystals in different elemental(water, fire, earth, air) regions. I took those ideas and wrapped it into the UI. The stone texture was the main background element while reflective overlays were used to mimic the crystals. Not only was I able to work on the development of the game, I also worked on the marketing of it as well.
